The village of Rosennano, located just 250 meters from the villa, holds significant historical value. The Etruscans once inhabited these lands, as suggested by the name itself: Rosennano likely derives from “Rasenna” or “Rasna,” the term the Etruscans used to identify themselves. Remnants of a city on Piano Tondo and a necropolis at Poggione, where the princess’s carriage was found, testify to the presence of this ancient civilization. Situated near the source of the Ombrone river, Rosennano was a sacred and respected place chosen by warriors to rest, which explains the absence of fortifications.

Rosennano is 12 km from Castelnuovo Berardenga, 18 km south of Siena, 53 km northwest of Arezzo, 70 km southeast of Florence, and 130 km from the sea in Castiglioncello, Forte dei Marmi, and Castiglione della Pescaia.
Situated on the hills of Chianti Senese at an altitude of 600 meters, the villa offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Villa Alto Giardino overlooks the valley between two rivers. The River Ambra flows to the east while the River Ombrone flows to the west. This geographical position creates remarkable scenic beauty, featuring a variety of natural environments and rolling landscapes typical of Tuscany.
